A brand that preserves beauty beyond the moment

hi, bloom was created from a simple yet meaningful idea: flowers don’t have to be temporary. This brand identity for jewelry brand hi, bloom was designed to transform preserved flowers into a visual experience that celebrates memory, craftsmanship, and emotional connection.

The brand transforms real flowers into handcrafted jewelry, allowing people to preserve memories, emotions, and meaningful moments in a wearable form.

More than selling accessories,
hi, bloom offers a way to carry stories, celebrations, and personal connections long after a flower’s natural life cycle has ended.

The challenge was to create a visual identity capable of communicating craftsmanship, emotional value, and contemporary femininity without falling into the clichés often associated with floral brands.

The Context

hi, bloom was in its early stages and needed a complete strategic and visual foundation.

Building a distinctive
brand identity for a jewelry brand required more than a logo—it required a story, a personality, and a cohesive experience capable of connecting with people on an emotional level.

There was no established positioning, visual identity, messaging system, or cohesive customer experience. Because the products sit at the intersection of nature, design, and personal storytelling, the brand needed to feel:
– artistic but approachable
– feminine without becoming stereotypical
– emotional without becoming sentimental
– handcrafted while remaining professional and trustworthy

The objective was to create a distinctive brand capable of standing out in a growing handmade jewelry market while building a strong emotional connection with its audience.

Research & Diagnosis

Before developing the visual identity, a strategic analysis was conducted to better understand the category, competitors, audience, and opportunities for differentiation.

COMPETITOR REVIEW

Many floral jewelry brands relied heavily on:
– predictable botanical illustrations
– soft pastel palettes
– generic feminine aesthetics
– interchangeable messaging focused solely on flowers

This revealed an opportunity to build a brand centered not only on flowers themselves, but on what they represent: memories, emotions, milestones and meaningful moments .

TARGET AUDIENCE
People looking for:
– meaningful gifts
– handcrafted products
– emotional connection through objects
– unique pieces with personal significance
– beauty with intention

BRAND ATTRIBUTES
hi, bloom was strategically positioned as:

individuality, emotion, creativity, and everyday beauty.

personal, thoughtful, and made with care.

CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION SYSTEM
One of the most distinctive elements of the project was the development of a custom illustration system.

All floral illustrations were
hand-drawn in Procreate and became a central component of the brand’s visual language. Inspired by the diversity, spontaneity, and organic beauty of real flowers, these illustrations bring warmth, personality, and recognizability to the identity.

Rather than functioning as decorative elements, the illustrations help tell the brand story and create an immersive visual world around hi, bloom.
